Once you've set up your trading decision rules, you can monitor your trades, positions, and profits either historically or on a real-time basis. Each monitor, whether a Trade Ticker or a Position and P&L Report, must be associated with a Data Source, which is a way of selecting a subset of trades. A Data Source could be, for example, all trades where the symbol is part of a symbol list that you define. An exciting element of the BarterSecurities Marketmaker Toolkit is that by setting a data souce of one or more of your trading decision rules, or rule/tier combinations, you can monitor on a real-time basis the profit and loss impact of the decision rules and the price/size tiers that you created.
